Eric Klenz leads KeyBanc Capital Markets’ Metals & Mining Practice and is responsible for KeyBanc's capital raising, advisory and lending activities to the metals and mining industry. Mr. Klenz’s client base and transaction experience includes virtually every sector of metals mining, production, processing, distribution and recycling. He has advised clients in exclusive sales assignments, acquisition assignments, leveraged buyouts, restructurings and fairness opinions. His capital-raising assignments include public equity offerings, public high-grade and high-yield bond offerings, private placements of debt and equity capital, recapitalizations, and loan syndications. Mr. Klenz joined the KeyBanc Capital Markets business unit in 2001 in the Restructuring Group of its Investment Banking Division. He joined the Metals & Mining practice in 2003 and assumed his current position in 2005. Prior to joining Key, Mr. Klenz worked in the Assurance and Advisory practice of Deloitte & Touche. While with Deloitte & Touche, he conducted and supervised financial audits and due diligence efforts for a number of public and private companies in the telecommunications equipment, industrial manufacturing, software and financial services industries. Mr. Klenz received a BS in Business Administration from Miami University (Ohio) with majors in accountancy and finance and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
