Spetrini Moving On |
It is now official: Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Antidumping and Countervailing Duty Enforcement Joe Spetrini will be moved out of this office at the Commerce Department to head a new policy office as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy and Negotiations in Import Administration focusing on China. He will no longer be responsible for the day-to-day handling of trade remedy cases at Commerce.
Spetrini will retain his current responsibilities for a number of trade agreements, including ongoing talks on an international agreement disciplining steel subsidies in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) which he chairs. The primary focus of the new office will be to explore the cause of trade frictions between the US and its trading partners, including China.
