AWPA Heads to Capitol HillThe members of the AWPA will gather in Washington, DC, September 19-21, 2005 for the annual Government Affairs Conference. While trade may not be on the top of the congressional agenda this year, there still are some issues that continue to resonate with lawmakers. What is Congress going to do about China? What is the outlook for future trade agreements? How will legislators handle the WTO decision and eventual retaliation from our trading partners against the Continued Dumping and Subsidy Offset Act, otherwise known as the "Byrd Amendment?" To answer those questions, we will have an expert from Capitol Hill expound on the trade agenda for 2006.
