We also took time to acknowledge these outstanding individuals at our
annual theme dinner. This year, our western rodeo attracted cowboy hats,
jeans and plenty of heel-stomping boots. Peter M. Cronin of Industrial
Wire Products gave his farewell speech as outgoing President and handed
his sheriff badge off to incoming President, H Woltz, Insteel Industries.
Another special award, "From Wire to Wine", was given to John S. Mueller
who after 20 years of service has stepped down from the AWPA board of directors
to pursue his love for wine.
A big thanks to all of the sporting chairs and participants: James Groom,
Rocky Mountain Steel Mills for helping with the golf tournament; Mike Huhndorf,
TI Industries Ltd., for his resilience on the courts; and Cindy Cronin
who planned a day of fun for the spouses and guests. We would also like
to thank Chris Whiting of CHC Industries who photographed our time in Tucson
and provided these pictures for Wireline.
There also was much to learn at the event from speaker Stephen Claeys,
Chief of Staff in the Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration.

The glorious weather made it very difficult to stay indoors, as Cheryl
Coelho, ECD, Inc., can attest.
Attendees enjoy a rodeo round-up on the last night of the Annual meeting,
complete with cowboy hats, boots, and line dancing.
