MARCH 1998  VOL. 8, NO. 1  AWPA Goes To Dusseldorf Wire '98 will take place in Dusseldorf, Germany from April 20 - 24, 1998. It is the world's leading trade fair devoted exclusively to wire production and technology. Featured at this state-of-the-art exhibition will be machinery for fasteners, springs, components, rope, and related products and technologies. Of the 922 exhibitors who participated at Wire '96, 72 were American. International visitors made up 58% of the more than 37,000 trade attendees. AWPA participation in Wire '98 has been financed by members who recognize that this is public relations opportunity that should not be missed. The association's presence at this show further enhances the stature of the AWPA and confirms its participation and interest in the global market place. In terms of more tangible benefits, AWPA distributes the corporate brochures of member companies who agree to financially support the association's presence at the event.
