American Spring Wire Corporation Announces New COO
Lawrence Selhorst, Chairman and CEO of American Spring Wire (ASW) Corporation, has announced the election of Timothy Selhorst by the company's Board of Directors to the position of COO. In his new position, Timothy Selhorst will be responsible for the company's domestic and international operations.
Timothy Selhorst has been employed by ASW for over 9 years, and has held several positions within the company's sales and marketing departments, including VP of Marketing and Sales. He will retain his title of Executive VP. Mr. Selhorst holds an MBA from Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management.
According to Lawrence Selhorst, "Tim's election to COO is another step in a company succession plan that was created several years ago. His past experience with the company and demonstrated talent for strategy development and implementation has prepared him well for his new position. We are confident that Tim will further improve ASW's competitive advantage and assure the company's position as a world-class wire source."
The COO position was previously held by Joseph Kwasny, who was elected to the new position of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Kwasny will report to and work directly with the Chairman in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, and undertake other outside corporate responsibilities.
Lawrence Selhorst offered these remarks on Mr. Kwasny's contributions to the company: "While Joe is ending his direct operating responsibilities, he is not retiring and will remain a member of our Board of Directors and a close associate and advisor to both myself and our new COO. I want to personally thank Joe for his many contributions to ASW during the past 28 years. He has been an integral part of the success of American Spring Wire and we all owe him a debt of gratitude."
Industrial Wire Products Corporation
Marshall Bull, Chairman of Industrial Wire Products (IWP) Corporation, celebrated his 30th year with the company in February. IWP is a Pomona, California-based manufacturer of steel wire, bars and finished wire products with sister companies Industrial Alloys, Industrial Wire Arrow Division and Golden State Nail.
Mr. Bull started as a manager in IWP's Los Angeles plant, advanced to President and now is Chairman of the Board. As his career grew, so did the company and its products. Today, IWP has more than 250 employees with annual product sales in excess of $60 million.
The key for success for Industrial Wire has been its commitment to new products market diversity and the Chairman's capacity to recognize emerging market trends.
