Timothy Selhorst, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of American Spring Wire Corporation, announced the hire of Greg Bokar as Vice President, Finance and Administration, and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Bokar comes from GE where he held positions as Finance Manager, Manager, Planning and Analysis, and Financial Analyst. His new responsibilities include strategic planning, budgeting and management of the accounting and MIS departments.
The company also announced the promotion of Steve Tolbert to Purchasing Manager. Mr. Tolbert began working for American Spring Wire in 1984 as purchasing buyer responsible for maintenance parts and production supplies. He has also worked as senior buyer administering the purchase and procurement of wire rod both from domestic and international sources.
Mr. Al Hufschmidt will assume the position of product manager for valve spring wire. He has been employed by American Spring Wire for 15 years and most recently was corporate materials manager where he focused on the purchasing of raw materials and inventory management.
American Spring Wire Corporation manufactures valve quality and commercial wire in carbon and alloy steel grades. Manufacturing processes include surface preparation, die drawing, cold rolling, patenting, annealing, and oil tempering. They company also produces PC strand for the pre-stressed/post-tensioned concrete market. Headquartered in Cleveland, OH, ASW is certified as complying to ISO 9002 standards.
