US Trade Policy Update
Please join the American Wire Producers Association on Tuesday, February 17 at 2:00 pm ET for a webinar on the latest in U.S. trade policy with Kelley Drye’s International Trade Partners Beth Johnson and Paul Rosenthal. This hour-long session will provide an overview of the Trump Administration’s trade and tariff actions to date and implications for the U.S. wire and wire products sector. The event is intended to familiarize members with the latest developments ahead of our Annual Meeting keynote address by former United States Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, who helped shape President Trump’s approach to trade policy.
Among other topics, Beth and Paul will share the latest on the Section 232 steel tariffs, including the Administration’s implementation of its derivative tariffs. They will discuss the status of the global International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) tariffs – including the challenge currently pending before the U.S. Supreme Court – and the Administration’s numerous reciprocal trade deals. And they’ll preview what we can expect in trade in the months ahead, from additional tariffs to the USMCA six-year review to possible consideration of trade enforcement legislation by the U.S. Congress. We’ll leave plenty of time for questions and answers!
Registration is open to AWPA Members and all Annual Meeting 2026 registrants, and is complimentary.
