Spouse/Companion Brunch – Tuesday, February 20 – 8:30 am to 10:00 am
The spouse/companion hospitality event will be held on Tuesday morning. All spouses and companions are welcome to attend brunch, to meet and mingle with other attendees. A representative from the Palm Springs Visitors Bureau will discuss the area, local attractions, and be available to answer questions. It’s a great opportunity to find out about Palm Springs, and then make plans to head out to explore the town for the afternoon or participate in the Golf or Tennis Tournaments! There is no additional fee for spouses/companions to participate in this brunch.
Golf Tournament - Tuesday, February 20 – 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm
This year’s Golf Tournament will take place on property at the Pete Dye course. It features hidden pin placements, carries over water, pot bunkers, elevated tees and railroad ties. It plays to 6,706 yards at a par 70 and is designed for all skill levels. The award winning championship course is just steps away from the resort and as such shares the same majestic mountain views.
The tournament fee is $215 per person. The fee includes lunch, green fees, cart, driving range, practice balls, and a world-class golf experience. The format is a shotgun, scramble tournament so that golfers of all skill levels will enjoy the event. There is a dress code of appropriate golf attire – collared shirts are required and no denim is allowed. Women must wear a shirt with sleeves or a collar. Metal spikes are not allowed. When you register, please indicate handicaps for you and your spouse/companion, if s/he will be participating in the tournament. They are welcome and encouraged to participate. Foursomes will be arranged based on your handicap and include both wire producers and suppliers. The female spouses play together. Please select right or left-handed clubs during registration, if rentals are needed. The club rental fee is $65. Prizes will be awarded to the top two foursomes and at designated holes for longest drive and closest to the pin.
Tennis Tournament – Tuesday, February 20, 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm
The tennis tournament will take place Monday afternoon and spectators are welcome! The facility is located on property and includes seven courts. Westin Mission Hills Tennis was named one of The Top 100 Tennis Resorts in the World by Tennis Resorts Online. A Round Robin Mixed Doubles format will provide members and guests with a fun and exciting afternoon of play for all ability levels. Proper tennis attire is required. Prizes will be awarded in several categories. Beverages and snacks will be provided. The tournament fee is $85 per person. Rackets are available to rent for $10 a day.
