Plant tours
We’ll start with an early breakfast, then board the bus at 7:30 am to head to Mount Joy Wire Corporation in Mount Joy, PA. Founded in 1991, Mount Joy Wire has seen exponential growth and success over the last 25 years. Mount Joy Wire manufactures specialty wire for a wide variety of applications, including aerospace, automotive, architectural, construction, marine, medical and oil and gas. All of their core products – spring, brush and oil-tempered wire – are produced at the Mount Joy facility in PA.
After a tour of the Mount Joy facilities, we’ll board the bus and have lunch on the way to Paramount Die in Abingdon, MD. For more than 50 years, Paramount Die has delivered dies and wire drawing solutions that optimize wire drawing operations. With a focus on innovation, at Paramount we’ll see the use of robotics and automation, and how dies, an essential piece of the wire-drawing process, are made.
We’ll then head to the Baltimore airport for a drop-off at 3:00 pm. For everyone not catching flights Wednesday evening, we’ll be back at the hotel about 3:30 pm.
