Attendees will tour Mid-South Wire and its downstream product facilities on Wednesday, October 21. This exclusive plant tour offers an opportunity to see operations firsthand, learn more about one of the nation’s leading wire manufacturers, and connect with fellow operations, manufacturing, safety, environmental, and HR professionals from across the wire and wire products industry. Founded in 1967, Mid-South Wire is a family-owned leader in the production of carbon steel wire products. Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, the company manufactures bright steel wire, plating-quality wire, galvanized wire, and wire mesh while maintaining a strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer service. During the AWPA visit in October, attendees will tour Mid-South Wire's Nashville operations, including the Wire Drawing Facility, where wire rod is transformed into finished wire products; the Galvanizing Facility, where wire receives protective zinc coatings for enhanced corrosion resistance; the Barge Terminal on the Cumberland River, showcasing efficient material handling and transportation logistics; and the Mesh Facility, where wire mesh products for concrete reinforcement are manufactured. The tour will provide a firsthand look at Mid-South Wire's integrated manufacturing process, advanced production capabilities, and commitment to delivering high-quality products safely and efficiently. The plant tour and lunch are included as part of the 2026 Operations Managers Meeting schedule. Attendees will depart for the tour in the morning and return to the Nashville Airport Marriott in the afternoon, with a drop-off at Nashville International Airport before returning to the hotel. |
