Prior to leading the Steel Manufacturers Association (SMA), Phil served as Director of External Communications and Public Affairs for Gerdau Long Steel North America based in Tampa, FL. He is a 25-year industry veteran, who developed an interest in the steel industry and manufacturing in the late 80s while working in maintenance and operations at Elementis Chromium in Corpus Christi, TX. He has held executive-level positions in operations, human resources and public affairs with Gerdau, the SGL Carbon Group, and Qualitech Steel Corporation.
Mr. Bell currently serves on the US Department of Commerce International Trade Advisory Committee on Steel (ITAC 12), advising the Secretary of Commerce and United States Trade Representative on trade policy, trade agreements, and other trade related matters that benefit U.S. businesses, workers, and the economy.
He is a member of the National Association of Manufacturing (NAM) Council of Manufacturing Associations (CMA) and the Association of Iron & Steel Technology.


Colin Schneider

Colin I. Schneider, Vice President Logistics at MID-SHIP Logistics, an AWPA member company, will provide insight into what to watch as the US untangles its shipping challenges caused by the pandemic. Managing cargoes from mine site to receiving plant and everywhere in between is the specialty of MID-SHIP Logistics, a dedicated team of professionals with expertise in worldwide transportation and the management of bulk and break-bulk materials.

 

Greta Peisch
General Counsel
Office of the US Trade Representative

Greta Peisch is the General Counsel for the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. Ms. Peisch has served as Senior International Trade Counsel on the Senate Finance Committee for Chairman Wyden since 2015. Previously, she served in USTR’s Office of the General Counsel, including as Chief Counsel for Negotiations, Legislation and Administrative Law. Before that, she clerked for Judge Douglas P. Woodlock in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and practiced law at Covington and Burling LLP. She earned her JD from Yale Law School and AB from Dartmouth College.
