Presidential Proclamation on Duties on Certain Russian Products: Includes Steel Products

On June 27, 2022, President Biden signed a Proclamation which increases duties on certain products from Russia to a rate of 35 percent.

Some steel wire products are included on the list of products subject to this duty rate increase.  They are:

Certain grill, netting, and fencing, plated or coated with zinc, classified under item 7314.41.00 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS).

Certain steel fasteners (bolts, nuts, washers), classified under items 7318.15.20 and 7318.15.40 of the HTSUS.

Certain nuts, classified under item 7318.16.00 of the HTSUS.

Certain washers, classified under item 7318.22.00 of the HTSUS.

The 35-percent rate becomes effective for imports which are entered on or after July 27, 2022.

All other products from Russia remain subject to the Column 2 duty rates in the HTSUS.
