On Thursday afternoon at the Government Affairs Conference we will head to Capitol Hill to meet with legislators and advocate for the steel wire industry. During registration you will have the chance to indicate you will participate in Hill Visits – make sure the box is checked, and we will make sure you have everything you need to have a successful meeting with your legislators and their staff.
- On Wednesday September 14 we will hold a virtual information session to walk through the procedures, and what to expect at these meetings on Capitol Hill.
- AWPA will provide industry data on sales and employment, and white papers on the issues most concerning the wire industry for you to use during these meetings.
- We will provide you with suggestions and tips on how to build relationships with your legislators.
All you need to do is check the box for Congressional Visits when you register. AWPA will take care of the rest!
