US Infrastructure Report Indicates $2.5 Trillion Underinvestment

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) has released the 2021 Infrastructure Report Card for the US, and it shows that the US has drastically under-invested in infrastructure maintenance. A water main breaks in the US every 2 minutes, and 6 billion gallons of treated water are lost every day. 43% of roadways in the US are in poor or mediocre condition. The Biden Administration has made infrastructure improvement a policy focus, and several organizations are working to push Congress to take action. The Metals Service Center Institute is promoting the Build Now Movement, to inform Congress and the public about this growing problem, and the Alliance for American Manufacturing has created a web portal to help manufacturers contact their Congressional Representatives and Senators. Here are some links to learn more and take action.
