Administrative Review of AD Order on Carbon and Alloy Steel Wire Rod from Korea (2017/2019) – Final Results

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) published its final results in the administrative review of the antidumping (AD) order on carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod from Korea.

The review covered one Korean producer / exporter during the period from October 31, 2017 through April 30, 2019.

The DOC calculated a final weighted-average dumping margin of 0.94% for POSCO – the sole respondent.

Accordingly, effective March 23, 2021, the dumping duty deposit rate became 0.94% for POSCO.  In addition, the DOC will send instructions to US Customs and Border Protection to liquidate imports that were entered during the period of review at the applicable dumping rate.

The previous dumping duty deposit rate for POSCO had been 41.10%, and the administrative review does not affect the exclusion of grade 1078 and higher tire cord quality wire rod and valve spring quality wire rod from the AD order on Korea.
